Community Board - Fendalton

My principal place of residence is in the Fendalton Ward of the Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board area.
Being a fifth generation Cantabrian, I have lived in the area for all of my 24 years and have immense pride for my city. After my experience as President of the Student Volunteer Army, it was a natural step to apply my passion and commitment to the community.

I am stepping up again with three years experience and enthusiasm, to ensure your opinions are upheld and supported. I will continue making a positive change where it counts whether it's maximising creativity, encouraging local talent, or pushing your values into action.

Having recently graduated with both Law and Arts Degrees at Canterbury University, I've made a conscious choice to remain in Christchurch during future focused decisions. Being one of the younger representatives, I bring a youthful perspective complimented by my previous term and local knowledge.

Together we can flourish fresh development, respect tradition while embracing community compassion.

Community Board Candidate – Harewood

My principal place of residence is in the Harewood Ward of the Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board area.

As a new father, I am stepping up to do my bit helping North West Christchurch to stay a great place for families to grow.  My parents taught me that when you are in a sports club or community group, when your older it’s your turn to give back.

I am running in Harewood because I love our neighbourhood and want to promote it so my kid’s generation has the same opportunities we have living here. That requires a strong voice that works well with others to solve infrastructure issues, improve park maintenance and address traffic issues.

I will be a positive advocate and strong voice on our local community board, as a Chartered Accountant and a new parent, working to make sure our community continues to be a great place to live and raise a family for my children’s generation.

Community Board - Harewood

My principal place of residence is in the Harewood Ward of the Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board area.

I was raised in Christchurch and I have attended two primary schools in the Harewood area. My interests are in future development and upgrading the living standards of all the residents in our community.

I believe Harewood has so much to offer and the fantastic people in this community deserve the best. To me, this means having safer roads with more traffic lights, better facilities for people of all ages and a cleaner environment not only for our current residents but also for the future generation.

As a financial adviser, I am very people-focused and am passionate about listening and finding the right solutions for families and businesses in our community. I also strongly feel that our residents need to be well informed on the use of the council's budget to make sure the funds are allocated appropriately.

I’m excited by the opportunity to represent our community one of the Central Ward representative on the Community Board! My principal place of residence is in the Central Ward of the Linwood - Central - Heathcote Community Board area.

I’m the Founding Director of Mates Social Media - a creative agency that specialises in Social Media advertising. As an agency we love engaging in campaigns that involve building culture in Christchurch and we are the curators behind the ‘Mates of Christchurch’ Facebook and Instagram page.

As a young professional who lives and works in the city, I understand the dynamics between those who come into the city to work and those who live here. I think it’s super important to have someone on the community board who can represent these views and be a strong voice for residence and ratepayers in a ward that will grow as our city rebuilds.

I love Christchurch as a city and what is offers to us as residences. I play hockey for a local club and I have been active in the amateur musical theatre community for the past 8 years. Our future is incredibly exciting and I think Central Ward residents need a fresh and energetic voice to represent them in conversations around the community board and council table about the future our of city.

I am running for the Community Board in the Papanui Ward because my experience with council and private enterprise gives me a good perspective on sensible financial management and where the City Council is falling short.

As a management accountant and associate member of Governance NZ, I bring over 20 years’ experience working in both local and central government."

I live in Strowan and Papanui is my family’s local community. I have the local understanding and knowledge to represent Papanui on Council. I am determined to give Papanui and northern Christchurch a strong voice at the council table to better manage traffic congestion, ensure services like the Graham Condon Centre are accessible, and to work on keeping our local parks and reserves open, tidy and usable.

Please support me so I can make a positive difference in Papanui
